Mohawk Valley Medical Physics is owned and operated by John P. Balog, Ph.D, ABMP.  He is a New York State licensed radiation medical physicist with 14 years of clinical and industrial experience.   He graduated with a BS in physics from the State University of New York at Albany, and completed his Masters and PhD degrees at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  He also holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering. 

 

He is presently the physicist for Mohawk Valley Radiation Medicine in upstate NY.  His previous work experience includes Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York, Southern Wisconsin Radiotherapy Center, Madison, WI, and TomoTherapy, Inc., Madison, WI.  He was an early member of the University’s Tomotherapy Research Group, and is a well published research author on tomotherapy.  (references available by request)
